    AI Accuracy & Limitations

    Last updated: July 1, 2026

    1. Introduction

SiteJourney uses artificial intelligence to help you build and edit websites through SiteChat, automated site generation, and related tools. AI responses are produced automatically and are not reviewed by a human before they reach you. The AI is designed to be helpful, but it is not perfect.

    2. Why AI Responses Can Be Wrong

Like other modern AI systems, SiteJourney's assistant can sometimes produce information that sounds convincing but is incomplete, outdated, or simply incorrect. This is sometimes called a "hallucination" — the model fills gaps with plausible text rather than verified facts.

Common examples include wrong business details, broken or incomplete layout changes, placeholder text left in place, image or icon choices that do not match your brand, and general knowledge that may not reflect current events or your specific situation.

A clear, confident tone does not mean an answer is accurate. Treat every suggestion as a draft you still need to review.

    3. What to Verify

Before you publish or rely on AI-generated content, check at least the following on your own site:

    • Factual claims about your business, services, pricing, and hours
    • Contact details, addresses, phone numbers, and form links
    • Headlines, testimonials, and statistics
    • Images, logos, icons, and whether you have rights to use them
    • Links, buttons, and navigation between pages
    • Layout and readability on mobile and desktop
    • Legal, privacy, accessibility, or compliance text

    4. High-Stakes Topics

Do not use SiteJourney AI as your only source of truth for legal, medical, financial, tax, safety, or other regulated advice. The assistant cannot know your full context and is not a licensed professional. For important decisions, consult a qualified expert and verify any AI-generated wording before you publish it.

    5. Before You Publish

You are responsible for all content on your published website. Our Terms of Service explain that AI output is provided on an "as is" basis and that you must review and verify it before publishing or relying on it.

Preview your site in the editor, click through key pages, submit a test form if you use one, and publish only when you are satisfied the result represents your business accurately.

    6. Help Us Improve

If a SiteChat response was misleading or unhelpful, tell us at support@sitejourney.ai or use our contact form. Include what you asked, what you expected, and what went wrong so we can investigate.
